The Ministry of Steel has issued the quality control order for many types of Ferroalloys to ensure the quality as per the applicable Indian standard requirements. These QCOs will not only improve the product quality but also build trust among industries and consumers.  According to the Ferroalloys Quality Control order, manufacturers who come under the QCO have to get the BIS License before the effective date of QCO. 

How to get BIS Certification for Ferroalloys?

1. The manufacturer has to submit the application along with supporting documents.
2. The manufacturer has to ensure the quality of the products as per the applicable Indian Standard.
3. The manufacturer must have testing facilities in the factory premises as per the standard requirement.
4. BIS will conduct the Preliminary Inspection in the factory to verify the manufacturing and testing facilities, also seal the samples for testing in BIS BIS-recognised lab. 
5. BIS will issue the license/Certificate on the basis of the test and Inspection report.
