The Foreign Manufacturing Certification Scheme, abbreviated as FMCS, provides a BIS license for foreign manufacturers and is established under the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations of 2018 and the BIS Act of 2016. Goods that satisfy applicable Indian standards are granted licenses.
