BIS CERTIFICATION OF SQUARE TINS IS 10325

1.   Introduction to Indian Standard IS 10325; Square Tins – 15 kg/litre For Ghee, Vanaspati, Edible Oils and Bakery Shortenings, Large Open Top

·       IS 10325 cover Square Tins – 15 kg/litre For Ghee, Vanaspati, Edible Oils and Bakery Shortenings. This standard specifies the manufacturing, chemical and physical requirements and testing of Square Tins – 15 kg/litre For Ghee, Vanaspati, Edible Oils and Bakery Shortenings.

·       Raw material should confirm clause 4.3 of IS 10325

2.   Mandate for ISI Mark Certification of Square Tins – 15 kg/litre For Ghee, Vanaspati, Edible Oils and Bakery Shortenings  (IS 10325) :

·       Under section 14 of Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 1986 (63 of 1986), the Ministry of Commerce and Industry after consulting the Bureau of Indian Standards has issued the Quality control order.

·       As per the Quality control order, all the manufacturers of Square Tins – 15 kg/litre For Ghee, Vanaspati, Edible Oils and Bakery Shortenings are obligated to obtain ISI Mark Certification.
