• IS 7285 (Part 2) cover Refillable Seamless Steel Gas Cylinders (Part 2). This standard specifies minimum requirements for the material, design, construction and workmanship, manufacturing processes and tests at manufacture of refillable quenched and tempered seamless steel gas cylinders of water capacities from 0.5 litre up to and including 400 litres for compressed, liquefied and dissolved gases exposed to extreme ambient temperatures (normally between -20 and +65°C). This part is applicable to cylinders with a maximum tensile strength (Rm) less than 1 100 MPa (112 kgf/mm2).

• Under section 14 of Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 1986 (63 of 1986), the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Department for Industrial Policy and Promotion (LR section) after consulting the Bureau of Indian Standards has issued the Pneumatic Tyres and Tubes for Automotive Vehicles (Quality control) order, 2009.
• As per this Quality control order, allthe manufacturers of Refillable Seamless Steel Gas Cylinders (Part 2) are obligated to obtain ISI Mark Certification.
