BIS CERTIFICATION OF OIL PRESSURE STOVES IS 1342:2002

A pressurized stove has a fuel tank, a vapor burner and a pot holder. Vaporized fuel is passed under pressure through a nozzle and mixes with air to form a flame.

• IS 1342 cover Oil Pressure Stoves. This standard covers the requirements and tests for oil pressure stoves intended for domestic and commercial use, burning pressurized kerosene oil under a normal working pressure of 100 kN/m2to 200 kN/m2 (1 kgf/ cm2 to 2 kgf/cm2).

• Under section 14 of Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 1986 (63 of 1986), the Ministry Industry, Department Industrial Policy and Policy and Promotion in exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act after consulting the Bureau of Indian Standards has issued the Oil Pressure Stoves (Quality control) order, 1997.
• As per the Cement (Quality control) order, allthe manufacturers of Oil Pressure Stoves are obligated to obtain ISI Mark Certification.
