BIS CERTIFICATION OF CORRUGATED ALUMINUM SHEET IS 1254

1.   Introduction to Indian Standard IS 1254; Corrugated Aluminum Sheet  

·       IS 1254 cover Corrugated Aluminum Sheet. This standard specifies the manufacturing, chemical and physical requirements and testing of Corrugated Aluminum Sheet.

·       Corrugated Aluminum Sheet shall be made from sheets in alloy and temper conforming to alloy 19000 H4 or 31000 H4 or 31500 H4 or 40800 H4 or 51300 H4 as specified in IS 737.

·       IS 1254 specifies the quality parameters or characteristics of the Corrugated Aluminum Sheet  as follows

2.   Mandate for ISI Mark Certification of Corrugated Aluminum Sheet  (IS 1254) :

·       Under section 14 of Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 1986 (63 of 1986), the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade after consulting the Bureau of Indian Standards has issued the Quality control order.

·       As per the Quality control order, all the manufacturers of Corrugated Aluminum Sheet are obligated to obtain ISI Mark Certification.
