The DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, has put out a draft Quality Control Order that would make it mandatory for the Standard Mark of the Bureau of Indian Standards under a valid BIS license to be affixed to all cross-recessed screws referred to above, whether indigenously manufactured or imported from a foreign country, to be used in India.

 

The cross-recessed screws must bear the BIS standard mark and comply with relevant standards for sale in India. BIS has not officially published the standard, but it will be published soon on the official website.
