IS 1470 – Standard for Silicomanganese:

• Chemical Requirements: The silico-manganese products had met the chemical limits for silicon, manganese, and carbon as specified under IS 1470.
• Impurity Limits: The products had passed the stringent levels for the presence of sulphur, phosphorus, and other impurities.
• Physical Appearance: The requirements for the physical appearance, as specified under BIS for lumpy and solid material free of contamination and defects, were also met.
• Test reports: The unit had accurate and current laboratory test reports for all batches of product.
