BIS Certification for Mild Steel Sliding Door Bolts For Use with Padlocks IS 281
Mild
steel is a type of carbon steel with a low amount of carbon – it is actually
also known as “low carbon steel.” Although ranges vary depending on the source,
the amount of carbon typically found in mild steel is 0.05% to 0.25% by weight,
whereas higher carbon steels are typically described as having a carbon content
from 0.30% to 2.0%.
Mild steel can be used to
create products across a wide variety of industries, making it one of the most
popularly used types of steel. Uses for mild steel include structural steel,
signs, automobiles, furniture, fencing, etc.
Securing
your door from intruders is an important and vital part of home security. This
is why quality mild steel door bolts are essential. Generally, flush bolts
& sliding bolts are used for folding & sliding doors, while barrel
bolts are used for stable doors and single doors. A door slide bolt is an
effective way to add extra security to doors. It can be used for both internal and
external doors when locking from the inside of the home is needed.
