1.   Introduction to Indian Standard IS 2095 Part 3; Reinforced gypsum plaster boards  

·       IS 2095 Part 3 cover Reinforced gypsum plaster boards. This standard specifies the manufacturing, chemical and physical requirements and testing of Reinforced gypsum plaster boards.

·       Raw material shall be confirm to the following point –

a)   Gypsum Plaster shall confirm clause 4.1

b)   Fibres shall confirm clause 4.2

·       IS 2095 Part 3 specifies the quality parameters or characteristics of the Reinforced gypsum plaster boards  as follows

2.   Mandate for ISI Mark Certification of Reinforced gypsum plaster boards  (IS 2095 Part 3) :

·       Under section 14 of Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 1986 (63 of 1986), the Ministry of Commerce and Industry after consulting the Bureau of Indian Standards has issued the Quality control order.

·       As per the Quality control order, all the manufacturers of Reinforced gypsum plaster boards are obligated to obtain ISI Mark Certification.
